3 Strategies for Buying and Selling Simultaneously
If you need to both buy and sell, we have three strategies that can help.
How do you sell your house and buy another one at the same time and not end up homeless? That’s one of the most common questions I receive. So here are three strategies I use to help clients buy and sell simultaneously:
1. Sell and move into short-term housing. I know most people don’t want to move into short-term housing, but it’s a good strategy. You can take advantage of the current great seller’s market and then sit on the sidelines until the perfect deal for a new home comes along. It’s inconvenient to move twice, but many of our clients are using this strategy to save money and limit stress.
2. Sell and hope to negotiate. We’ll try to find a buyer who’s willing to work with us and give you extended possession, an extended closing, or make the sale contingent upon the closing of your next house. Using this strategy, we’ll actively look for houses while your current home is on the market.
"These three strategies ensure you’ll sell and buy without being homeless in between."
3. Our One Move program. This program allows you to sell your house to us at a fair, competitive price; then, you’ll rent it back from us for up to six months. This is a perfect solution if you’re building a house or want to wait on the sidelines for the right deal on a new house.
If you’re interested in finding out more about any of these options or how to navigate the challenging scenario of buying and selling simultaneously, I’d love to sit down with you for a no-obligation consultation. If you have any questions or other real estate needs, give me a call or visit my website. I’d love to be your real estate resource.
