Have You Missed the Opportune Time To Sell?
You can still sell your home even though we’re in the fall market.
Since summer’s over and kids are back to school, some homeowners are wondering if they missed the opportune time to sell their house. At 0:45 in the video, you can see a graph of what we see in a typical year of real estate sales. It’s important to know that if a house is closing in September, the contract was written in August or late July, so the real activity always happened about 45 days beforehand.
You can see that May to August is the busiest part of the year, and September to November is the second busiest period. In the fall market, we tend to see more serious buyers than in the summer market. They are more active because they want to get into a property before the weather changes and the holidays start. There’s still a strong population of buyers out there this fall.
